At our first indoor meeting of the year on February 21st, we had a very good turn out. At this meeting we gave out details and had discussions on our events this year.
After the business side of the meeting was finished, we held a table top sale and raffle to raise funds for our charity this year, Marie Curie Care. Members were very generous with bringing along things for sale and prizes for the raffle, resulting in a further £58-72 being added to the charity funds.
Dick Talbot had also kindly brought along a prize for the member who guessed correctly the part he had brought along to identify. This was won by Mike Stannard, so well done to you Mike.
Thank you to Mary for bringing along her lovely cakes again and for Chris and Jimmy who went around with the raffle tickets and made the teas. We have you both well trained! Also thank you to our members who brought and bought.
