Events at a Glance
Below is a list of events Iceni Minors will be organising and/or attending in 2025, our 45th anniversary year.
27th April – Drive It Day. Chris and Marion are organising a run for us this year and we will be starting at Cherry Lane Garden Centre at Long Melford. We meet up at 10-15am where we can have a comfort break and a look around the nursery. We set off at 11-15am and have a run of around 15 miles to Chappel and Wakes Colne Station, East Anglian Railway Museum, Wakes Colne, CO6 2DS. There is plenty to see here, but no train rides. 4th May – Ipswich to Felixstowe Run. Quite a few of our members are attending this event. You need to be booked in first, but the entry date has now passed.
18th May – Branch picnic, Parham Airfield. This year our picnic will be held at the 390th Bomb Group Memorial Air Museum and the Museum of the British Resistance Organisation at Parham Airfield. The Museum opens at 11am and our picnic will start at 12pm. The Museum has asked for a donation of £5 per person. We will be holding a raffle at this meeting. Visit www.parhamairfieldmuseum.co.uk.
25th May – Sandringham Pageant of Motoring. A new event for us this year. More details later.
1st to 3rd June – Trip to Bangers and Cash in Pickering, North Yorkshire. A group of members will be visiting Mathewson’s Auction Rooms.
28th and 29th June – MMOC National Rally, Fire Service College, Moreton-in-the-Marsh. We are having a stand on Branch Avenue and will probably take part in the theme of the Emergency Services.
6th July – Picnic lunch with the Pink Ladies Tractor run at Gawdy Hall. More details later.
17th July (Thursday) – Visit to Newton Commercials at Leiston. Meet at 10-30am for a tour and refreshments. Maybe some fish and chips for lunch. More details later.
17th August – Classic Car Show, Stonham Barns. We are again having a stand at this event. More details later.
27th August to 2nd September – Road Trip to the Isle of Wight. A group of members will be going on a short break to the Isle of Wight to take in the Isle of Wight Branch Rally.
21st September – Breakfast meet and a visit to somewhere. More details later.
Charity Update
In 2024/25 we fund raised for The National Coastwatch Institution and our members raised the brilliant amount of £600. At our February meeting we presented Peter Lawrence from the NCI with our cheque.
In 2025/26 we will fund raise for The Pink Ladies Tractor Run who raise money for Breast Cancer Research. So far we have £118-00.
Charities We Support
During the 45 years of the Branch we have raised over £20,000 through events such as auto jumbles, draws, etc.
