Events at a Glance

Below are a list of events Iceni Minors will be organising and/or attending in 2024.

11th August – Visit to care homes, Suffolk. One of our members is organising visits to two care homes near Bury St Edmund’s so residents can reminisce over our cars. He has also organised music too and a pub lunch.

18th August – Classic Car Rally, Stonham Barns. Members always like to attend this event and we will be having a club stand. Sorry, no more entries can now be taken.

22nd August (Thursday) – For one of Stephen’s mid-week visits he has organised a trip to the English Distillery at East Harling, Norfolk.

25th August – Classic Car Rally, Elsing Hall, Dereham, Norfolk. We went to this event June last year and members would like to go back this August. There are lots of stalls and the gardens at Elsing Hall will be open.

29th September – Breakfast meet. We are again going to have a breakfast at Cafe Virage, Ellough Aerodrome near Beccles. Then on to the Red Feather Club at Horham for their open day. The Breakfast will need to be limited to 20 people, so get your entry in asap. Otherwise you are welcome to meet us at the Red Feather Club from 12pm.

There are lots of other events we will be attending and they will be added as and when.

Charity Update

In 2023/24 we fund raised for Upbeat, a heart charity in West Suffolk and our members raised the brilliant amount of £600. At our February meeting we presented Hilary and Valerie from Upbeat with our cheque. During 2023 our members also raised £80 for Marie Curie and £68 for Granary Crafts at Buxhall. A total of £748 so well done to all our members who took part.

In 2024/25 we will fund raise for The National Coastwatch. So far we have £324-23.

During the 44 years of the Club we have raised over £20,000 through events such as auto jumbles, draws, etc.
