We had an excellent turn out of members for our Buffet and unfortunately a lot of members couldn’t make it due to illness. There was a lovely variety of food and the tables were laden with platefuls.
We started off with a quiz brought along by Jacky and Brian and we tried to find the answers while we were eating. We had to find out the names of 42 edible food and drink items which were hidden in a letter. There were a lot of good scores, but no winners. It appeared that members had found a lot more answers than Jacky had on her answer sheet! So, it was left that we all did well with the number we found.
Next up was Carolyn and John with their Santa sacks. Each one had five spare parts from a Morris Minor and you had to feel them and guess what they were. Sack One was items from Under the Bonnet, Sack Two from the Interior, Sack Three from the Exterior and Sack four was General spares. A lot of fun was had by members and the winners were Audrey, Norman, Jane, Phil and Tricia with 17 out of 20 items correctly named.
Thanks very much to Jacky and Brian and Carolyn and John for keeping us entertained. Those members that attended received a present of a scratch card and we have heard of at least three winners. Thanks to all those members that brought food and we had a most enjoyable afternoon.
