On 17th January 2016 we held our New Year lunch at The Crossways Inn, Scole with nineteen members in attendance. We were still in Christmas mode as Chris Mitchell brought along some crackers and we held a Secret Santa, as we usually do every year.
To further fundraise for our Charity this year we held a Pub card, where you have to guess which pub you think is under the hidden flap. We managed to raise £37 from this with the winner being Wendy Talbot.
Also at this event we present our “Member of the Year” trophy. Last years recipient, Chris Mitchell, was the one who chose who the shield would be presented to this year. Chris chose our new Chairman, Mary Huggins, as Chris said Mary had stepped up to become Chairman when we were without one and also for bringing along her lovely cakes to the meetings. Well done Mary and we agree with Chris!
