We were slightly down on numbers of members at our indoor meeting at Scole Community Centre on 20th March. Members that did attend added their names to lists for the rallies we have planned for the year and were told of the details of the events.
After the meeting was over, we had a quiz brought along by Secretary, Tricia entitled “Find me in the Sweetshop”. Members had to guess from the clues what sweet it was. With a score of 18 out of 20, the winners were Mike and Mary Stannard who received a prize, so well done to you both.
Also held was another of our Pub cards which raised a further £26-00 for Marie Curie Care. The winners were the two Mary’s, Stannard and Huggins and they generously gave back their winnings towards the charity funds. For which we thank them. At this meeting we has the Marie Curie daffodils on sale and many members kindly bought some.
We had a new member at this meeting in the shape of Len Oram. Len is currently restoring his car for its 50th birthday, so will be on the road in the very near future, but not for this year. Thank you to Chris Mitchell for making teas and going round with the Pub card on his own in Jimmy’s absence.
