Our Chairman Carolyn was not able to attend the meeting but a report from her was read out by Mary, who took over proceedings on the day. Our accounts were very healthy, but we had to increase our membership fees for 2024.
All members were voted back in on the Committee again, and we are joined by Mike who wished to become a Committee member. Ideas for future meetings and events were discussed and you will see the results of these discussions in later events.
The football card we held on the day was not filled, so we will carry this over to the Christmas Buffet. £14-61 was raised on the refreshments which goes towards funds for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
The featured photo of this post is Tricia and Jimmy’s Traveller, Victoria. David Manners Group held a photo competition in October entitled ‘Autumn Beauties’ where you had to send in a photo of your car in an autumnal setting. Tricia and Jimmy came a joint second, winning a pack of Autoglym polishing equipment. Tricia says that Jimmy will be kept busy with that next summer!
