21st January 2018 – New Year lunch

Twenty one of our members enjoyed a meal at The Old Mill House, Saxtead on 21st January. There would have been more but due to illness some couldn’t come along. We had the conservatory part of The Old Mill House to ourselves and we were spread out over four tables. Chris Mitchell kindly brought along some Christmas crackers, so we could have a belated Christmas feel to our meal. Members who attended all received a present each instead of our usual Secret Santa this time. Most people opted for the carvery and this was brought to our tables for us.

Jacky went round with the pub card where you have to guess the name of the pub, and the winner of this was our Chairman, Mary Huggins, so well done Mary. Mary received £10 and £30 was raised for our charity for 2018, SERV Norfolk Blood Bikes. Last year’s winner of the “Member of the Year” shield, Tricia Loades, presented it this year to our Treasurer Jacky Lloyd, for all that she does behind the scenes.
