17 cars joined us on our stand at Stonham Barns, as members like to attend this event. We had a different location this year as we were just inside the entrance rather than being on the outskirts of the field. We were joined by 3 members of the Uttlesford Branch as well as Amanda in her lilac convertible. We were among over 600 cars on display and the weather remained fine for us all day.

We met our new member Andy who also owns a convertible. A visitor to our stand was John who was serving at the Lakenheath air base and was looking for a 4 door Minor after seeing Nurse Gladys Emmanuel’s car in Open All Hours. We have been helping him find one.

We caught up with Bryan in the autojumble, past members Gordon and Steve and Sue and we had a visit from some of our members Daniel and Anne and Nigel, but without their cars. Other members Ton, Maria and Pam and Nick were on the field but not parked with us.

For further fund-raising we had our charity squares, each divided in to 25 so we could each sell some, but they were all sold from our stand. The winner of £20 was Branch member Ann and we raised a further £103-30 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People with donations from David and Michael. Thanks to all members who came along and supported the Branch.
