Our usual meeting would have been on 19th March, but this year it fell on Mother’s Day, so we took the decision to bring the meeting forward by one week. We had a good turn out of members and we discussed what was going to happen over the summer with our events and members added their names to the lists at the meeting.
To raise some more money for Upbeat, our charity for the year, we held a table top sale which raised £31, a raffle held made £44 and money from the refreshments made £13, so a total of £88 was made. Thank you to all those members who donated prizes and brought and bought things for the table top sale.
A certificate was displayed that we had received from Hearing Dogs for Deaf People following our donation to them of £700.
