We had ten cars booked into the Lavenham Rare Breeds Motor Show on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August. But again this event was hit by rain coming down all day and only six hardy souls turned out. It didn’t seem to put off a lot of the other exhibitors there as there were quite a number of other classic cars parked on the rally field.
Lots of the stallholders didn’t come to the event either, but in the main marquee there was lots to keep everyone amused. The carnival parade did take place during the afternoon, but the ring events were cancelled and during the afternoon we were told to call it a day and go home as the rain showed no sign of stopping. However we did sign up a returning member, so something was salvaged from the day.
We will hopefully make a return visit to the event next year.
