On 23rd August we held another of our popular picnics, this time at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton. The weather was kind to us while we were there with lovely sunshine. Eighteen Morris Minors and a Saab turned out for the afternoon. We had some members we hadn’t seen for a while come along and join us, even though some hadn’t come in the Minors. Lots of our newer members came along with our newest member Michael O’Reilly in his four door Saloon.
We had loads of prizes for our raffle kindly brought along by our members and with the help of our raffle men Chris and Jimmy, we made £41-00. We donated this to the Museum for kindly allowing us to hold our picnic there.
After lunch we had a fly past again by Maurice Hammond in his Mustang, we had seen him fly over at Palgrave. We were even featured in the Eastern Daily Press and the Beccles and Bungay Journal as we sent in a photo of our cars with the aeroplanes.
