Quintessentially British Events had invited us to attend their events which take place all over the country, and this event was chosen by members to attend amongst the ones held in our area. For our first visit we had a total of eight cars on our stand and we were right next to the dog agility ring, which was one of four on the event field. We were able to watch dog displays throughout the day which included a demonstration by a Britain’s Got Talent entrant who had ten dogs in his command.

There were plenty of food stalls available with a tent for cookery demonstrations, so we would not go hungry or thirsty during the day. Some of our members partook in the tasting of samples on offer to try. In the main ring there were events going on all throughout the day which included a motorbike display and one from the owner of the Lloyd’s Bank horse who gave us a dressage display. In another of the rings was a dog show and in another they carried out sheep racing. This was fun to watch as the lady with the food who ran in front of the sheep kept dropping the food, so of course the sheep stopped!

As the name of the event suggests there were certainly lots of dogs at the Show in all shapes and sizes and there were stalls that catered for anything your dog could possibly need. Our Treasurer Jacky had a close encounter with a python, rather her than me! So for us this event was certainly entertaining and we have been invited to attend next year.
