The Scole Fete was held at the Scole Community Centre, Ransome Avenue, Scole, which is where we hold our indoor meetings through the winter period. We had eight vehicles attend and we thank our members for turning out in the afternoon to support the fete. The cars were all parked in a semi-circle with flag and banner put up to advertise our presence.

The fete brought out lots of the villagers of Scole and there were lots of stalls, a barbecue, the local WI serving cake and a very substantial raffle. Although sadly none of our members won anything. Our newest member Guy Sumpter, who is the Rector of Eye, joined us as it was an afternoon event. Because as Guy pointed out the afternoon was better for him as his day job usually takes up the weekend.

Also on the playing field were other classic cars, stationery engines and a couple of tractors. When Al Chapman left he was shortly replaced by the Chairman of Scole Parish Council who had borrowed a Minor as he knew we would be there. So in total we had nine cars, but eight at any one time.

The pub card for fundraising for Suffolk Accident Rescue Services was filled and drawn. Jacky Lloyd was the winner and received £10, so well done Jacky for guessing correctly. £30 goes to the total for SARS.
