The weather was hot despite the event held at Elveden Hall being brought forward from the usual July date. There were more people attending this year and also more dogs as the heat was not so intense as last year. The usual ring events were held which included a horse display with a bird of prey flying through their legs! Quite spectacular.
Mike Stannard brought along his lovely maroon van and we had nine Branch cars displayed on our stand. Although there was another Classic Car event being held in the walled garden of Elveden Hall nearby there were a few other classics on the field. Some Branch members attended this event.
Behind us we had the model aircraft display and again this year Carolyn and John Hancock entered their chocolate Labrador Rolo into some of the classes in the dog show. Rolo won a prize, so well done. The football card was finished off and the winner of £10 was Mike Stannard who kindly donated £5 back. So a total of £35 was raised for our charity of the year the Lowestoft RNLI.
