20th January 2019 – New Year Lunch

The venue for the New Year lunch was the Triple Plea at Halesworth and was to be a carvery. Twenty-five members and family attended and enjoyed a lovely meal whilst enjoying each others company. We even had Christmas Crackers as Chris Mitchell brought some along for us and we held our usual Secret Santa.

Four brave members had brought out their cars, as the Triple Plea had requested that we bring along our cars. For RNLI fund-raising we held our last pub card and the winner of £10 was Ann Baker-Querelle, so well done Ann for guessing the correct team. A further £30 was raised for the RNLI.

We usually present the “Member of the Year” shield at this meeting, but as the recipient was not in attendance this was held over until the February meeting.
