This event held at Stonham Barns is one of the largest we attend during the year. With over 600 cars on display including 24 Club stands it was a sea of cars. The layout of the rally field is very well organised and there is also an auto jumble where the Morris Minor Owners Club spares manager, Bryan Gostling, had a stall. There is always a very large car boot sale also on the Stonham Barns site as well as all the shops on the complex. So there is a lot to see and do all the day.

As with the Scole Fete we had thirteen cars attend, but twelve at any one time. When Alan Sayles left the rally field we had Guy Sumpter fill the space he left in the afternoon. Martin Wallis did visit us on our stand as he had deserted us for the Morris Marina and Ital Club stand.

There were a few visitors to the stand where a lot of membership forms and information was given out. These included the former Chairman of Manchester Branch, who was on holiday in the area, Suzanne Evans from Essex Branch and a man who drove a Morris Minor in the 1962 RAC Rally. He told us he came eighth in the race. Another query was from a car owner who had been sitting wondering what Iceni meant.

We were joined on the day by our newest member, Brian Hawley and his wife Sandy, with their Traveller, Jodie. This was their first rally with Jodie. Also joining us for the day was Peter Bolderston from Badingham with his white Austin van. We tried to get him to join the Branch, but alas he didn’t want to!
