1st September 2019 – Branch Picnic

This year our Branch Picnic was held at Granary Craft, Buxhall near Stowmarket. We couldn’t have wanted better weather, as it was brilliant sunshine. The good weather brought out a total of twelve Branch cars which included a Jaguar.

We weren’t the only club to visit Granary Craft, as just as we were arriving a group of Army vehicles were leaving having spent the weekend at the Museum camp site. On arriving members parked their cars in a circle and we set our tables and chairs up in front of them also in a circle. We then set about having our lunch and there was lots of chat over the meal.

A raffle was held and we raised £60 which we donated to the family run Museum for letting us hold our picnic there. Thanks to all members who brought prizes. After lunch we looked around the exhibits in the Museum and had a cup of tea and slice of cake to end the afternoon.

The exhibits included old cars and everyday items from only a few decades ago. Lots of us could remember using them at one time or another. A good afternoon out for all members.
