We had another very good turn out of Branch cars at this Vintage Rally and Country Fair, with ten vehicles on our stand. Amongst these were a range of Travellers, Saloons, Convertibles and Pick-up’s. This year again the organisers kindly put us along side the display ring so we had “ring side” seats as it were.
We were able to enjoy watching the cars, traction engines, lorries and tractors going past us. The weather got out to be very hot for us this time, so there were a lot of people all around the site. As at Euston there were a wide variety of stalls to look at as well as a craft marquee. Plus all the cars, lorries, tractors and traction engines.
We again here had our stall selling old magazines and books in aid of Marie Curie and we took some more money towards our donation to them for later in the year.
On the rally field we came across a modified Minor that is used for racing at Swaffham Race track. If we wanted we could hire this to do just that. We will have to see what it costs first.
As usual we had a fly past from Maurice Hammond with his Mustang and there were two aerobatic planes that did a display. This time when we left the rally we were given a pen and a beaker with Journey Through The Ages on.
