This was our first indoor meeting for 19 months due to the Coronavirus pandemic and it was nice to see so many members again. Some members are still not willing to join us indoors, but hope to in the New Year.
At this meeting we discussed what events we hope to join and hold in the next few months and we also got to have another 40th anniversary cake. Jacky and Brian Lloyd had very kindly had the cake made for us. The 4 was sponge and the 0 was fruit cake. After a photo opportunity with members our Branch Chairman Mary kindly cut the cake for us.
Our Secretary Tricia brought along a selection of her archives from 1983 onwards for us to look at and see what we had done over the years since she joined the Morris Minor Owners Club and the Branch.
We had some more members join at this meeting. Bryn and Pat Puiy only live a few hundred yards from Parkview Chapel, so they don’t have far to come to meetings.
A football card was held and the winner was our Secretary Tricia who won £10. She very kindly donated this to our fund-raising total for East Coast Truckers and a further £40 was added to the total.
